What the BT-205 is and who it suits

The Monoprice BT-205 is a lightweight over-ear headphone built for wireless listening at home or in the office. It connects through Bluetooth 5.0 and also accepts a 3.5 mm cable for wired use. The folding design makes it easy to store in a bag. Buyers who need active noise cancellation or multi-device pairing should look elsewhere.

The spec that decides fit

Bluetooth 5.0 wireless range reaches up to 32 feet and supports the SBC and AAC codecs for compatible sources. The 40 mm drivers present a 32 ohm nominal impedance for efficient power draw. If your device does not support AAC or you require aptX or LDAC codecs, this model will not meet that requirement.

Heat, noise and power in daily use

Passive drivers produce no electronic noise and the ear cups stay at ambient temperature during long sessions. The internal battery delivers up to 8 hours of playback before recharging is needed. Wired operation via the 3.5 mm cable removes battery drain entirely for uninterrupted listening.
