A 6 ft DisplayPort 2.0 cable delivering 80.0 Gbps bandwidth for up to 16K at 60 Hz or 8K at 120 Hz with HDR10 and 30bpp color
The Monoprice 142994 cable carries the DisplayPort 2.0 standard at 80.0Gbps total bandwidth. It connects PCs, laptops, monitors or TVs that require the highest available link rate for ultra-high resolutions and refresh rates. The 6 foot length suits typical desk or living-room layouts.
One display runs at 16K resolution and 60Hz with HDR10 and 30bpp colour depth. Two displays run at 8K resolution and 120Hz with HDR10 and 30bpp using Display Stream Compression. The cable also carries audio, Forward Error Correction and YCbCr 4:4:4 colour space. Bandwidth drops to 32.4Gbps when connected to DisplayPort 1.4a or 1.2 devices.
This is the decisive figure: 80.0Gbps total bandwidth, nearly triple the 32.4Gbps of DisplayPort 1.4a. It determines whether your source and sink can negotiate 16K60, 8K120 dual-stream or lower modes with HDR and deep colour. Buyers whose hardware tops out at DisplayPort 1.4a will not gain the higher link rates this cable enables.

The cable is backward compatible with DisplayPort 1.2 and 1.4 devices, so it will work, but the link will run at the older port's maximum 32.4Gbps bandwidth instead of 80.0Gbps.
Open your GPU control panel or monitor OSD and verify the active resolution reads 16K at 60Hz, HDR is shown as on, and the colour depth is set to 30bpp or 10-bit per channel.
The box contains only the cable with two DisplayPort connectors; no adapters, clips or extra accessories are included.
