Offset Alder Electric Guitar

The Monoprice Indio OS40 DLX Plus is a solid-body electric guitar built around an alder body and soapbar pickups. It arrives new with a gig bag included, aimed at players who want the classic offset silhouette and balanced tonal character. The natural finish highlights the wood grain without adding visual weight.

Alder Body Tonewood

Alder is selected for its even frequency response and pronounced upper-midrange, giving chords clarity and single notes a vocal quality. The two soapbar pickups translate that resonance into a wide, articulate signal that suits clean and driven tones alike. No other tonewoods or pickup configurations are used on this model.

Players Seeking Offset Style

This guitar fits musicians drawn to the offset body shape and the balanced sound of alder with soapbar pickups. Builders who need a different scale length, a tremolo system, humbucking pickups or a finished neck profile not described here should consider other instruments.

Questions about this item

What does the 21-fret count mean for my playing range on this guitar?

The 21 frets provide a standard electric guitar range, giving you access to notes up to a high C or C# on the first string, which covers the vast majority of rock, blues, and indie repertoire.

What does the bolt-on maple neck joint imply for setup and tone on this offset?

A bolt-on neck allows straightforward action and intonation adjustments via the neck pocket screws, and it typically contributes a snappy attack with clear note separation suited to the offset's jangly character.

Will the 10.80 kg shipping weight reflect the actual guitar weight, and how does that affect balance?

The 10.80 kg figure is the packaged shipping weight including the gig bag and box; the guitar itself weighs considerably less, typically around 3.5 to 4 kg, offering comfortable balance for seated or standing play.
