Monoprice Blackbird 2x2 HDMI Matrix 144438

Monoprice Blackbird 2x2 HDMI Matrix

The Monoprice Blackbird 144438 is a 2x2 HDMI matrix switch that routes two 8K60 sources to two displays. It sends content from either input to either or both outputs simultaneously. The unit supports HDMI 2.1 and HDCP 2.3 for current ultra-high-definition signals. Advanced EDID management and audio extraction add flexibility for professional installations.

Ideal for dual-display multi-source setups

This matrix suits users who need to share two 8K60 or 4K120 sources across two screens without swapping cables. It works for video conferences, presentations and gaming where instant switching matters. Buyers who require more than two inputs or more than two outputs should look at a larger matrix. Anyone needing only a simple splitter or a basic switch will find this unit more complex than necessary.

8K60 4:2:0 10-bit and 4K120 4:4:4 10-bit support

The single specification that decides compatibility is the maximum video format: 8K at 60 Hz with 4:2:0 10-bit colour or 4K at 120 Hz with 4:4:4 10-bit colour. Both source devices and both displays must match these capabilities for full performance. If your sources or screens top out at lower resolutions or refresh rates, the matrix will still pass the signal but the extra headroom goes unused.
