Extended 25-foot reach

This 25-foot flat telephone patch cable replaces shorter runs in home or office installations. The silver satin jacket keeps the cable unobtrusive along baseboards or under carpet. Two male RJ12 connectors provide a straight-through pin order for data lines. Model 100942 measures 7.62 metres end to end.

Passive cable thermals

The cable carries only low-voltage signalling current, so it generates no measurable heat during normal use. No active cooling or power supply is involved, and the flat PVC body remains at ambient temperature. Silent operation is inherent because there are no moving parts or electronics. Power draw is negligible on the connected equipment.

Lifetime warranty coverage

Monoprice backs the cable with a lifetime warranty that covers defects in materials and workmanship. The straight-wire construction preserves the left-to-right pin sequence, preventing crossover errors in multi-line systems. Six conductors inside the flat body support full RJ12 pin utilisation. No software or drivers are required for operation.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 100942 flat cable and what is the common mistake?

Plug each RJ12 male connector straight into the 6P6C jack until it clicks. The common mistake is forcing the flat cable around tight bends which can kink the conductors.

What maintenance or replacement will the 100942 cable need later?

The flat silver satin cable has no moving parts and requires no scheduled maintenance. Replace it only if the RJ12 connectors become loose or the flat body shows visible damage.

What limit appears first on the 100942 cable during sustained data use?

The practical limit is the 25 foot (7.62 metre) length; beyond this distance signal quality on the six straight wired conductors can degrade.
