A 50 ft fiber-optic DisplayPort cable delivering 32.4 Gbps for 8K at 30 Hz, 5K at 60 Hz or 4K at 120 Hz with 24-bit colour and no external power needed
This 50 ft fibre-optic cable meets the DisplayPort 1.3 specification with 32.4 Gbps bandwidth. It drives 8K at 30 Hz, 5K at 60 Hz and 4K at 120 Hz with 24-bit RGB colour. Backwards compatibility covers all earlier DisplayPort versions.
Optical fibre replaces copper for the high-speed signal path, so the cable draws no external power and generates no heat or fan noise. The design supports runs up to 150 ft while maintaining full 8K@30Hz performance without extenders.
The SlimRun AV construction is thinner and softer than traditional copper cables, reducing bend radius and cable bulk. No software or drivers are required; the link is purely passive and plug-and-play.

Plug the source end into your GPU and the display end into the monitor; the step people miss is checking the directional labels because the optical engine only works one way.
No routine maintenance is required; if the cable is damaged or a future display needs a different connector, replace the whole cable.
The 32.4 Gbps bandwidth ceiling of the DisplayPort 1.3 link is the first limit; the fiber itself is rated for 150 ft at that resolution.
