Monoprice Inc. 1419 pro sound optical cable 5.0 mm

Optical Toslink cable for multi‑channel audio

This Monoprice S/PDIF cable carries high‑definition digital audio between components using a full‑sized Toslink connector at each end. The optical link eliminates ground loops and rejects RF or EM interference for clean signal transfer. It suits home‑theatre receivers, soundbars, game consoles and DACs that accept standard optical inputs. The 6‑foot length fits typical rack or desktop spacing.

Molded strain relief and gold‑plated ferrules

Molded boots at each connector junction reduce mechanical stress where the cable meets the plug, helping the link stay reliable through repeated insertion cycles. Gold‑plated ferrules resist corrosion and shield the polished fiber tips from oxidation over long‑term use. Precision‑polished fiber ends maintain consistent light coupling for stable multi‑channel playback. Plastic tip protectors guard the optical faces during storage or routing.

5.0 mm outside diameter

The cable measures 5.0 mm in outer diameter, a single dimension that determines whether it will pass through tight conduit, behind furniture or along skirting boards. Buyers needing a slimmer profile for narrow cable channels or dense patch panels should verify clearance before ordering.
