The Monoprice 610291 is a solid-body electric guitar built with an ash body and maple neck for balanced, resonant tone. The Wilkinson bridge and two single-coil pickups deliver classic sounds for versatile playing styles.

Setup and Accessories Check

Verify your amplifier and cable compatibility with standard single-coil pickup output before ordering. The guitar ships with a gig bag for protection during transport, so a separate hard case is not included. Ensure you have a suitable stand or wall hanger rated for the instrument's 11.28 weight.

Sustained Play Performance

The solid ash construction maintains tonal consistency and resonance during extended playing sessions. Professional setup by a master luthier ensures stable tuning and comfortable action that holds up under continuous use. The Wilkinson hardware provides reliable intonation and string stability for long rehearsals or performances.

Questions about this item

Does the 610291 Retro DLX Plus come with a gig bag, or do I need to buy a case separately?

A gig bag is included with the guitar, so no separate case purchase is required for basic transport and protection.

The specs list an ash body with a maple neck — is the fingerboard also maple or a different wood?

The fingerboard is maple, matching the neck, while the body is solid ash for balanced, resonant tone.

What does the 11.28 kg weight mean for playing comfort during long sets?

At 11.28 kg the instrument feels substantial on a strap, so a wide padded strap is recommended for extended standing performances.
