A Cat5e keystone coupler that joins two pre-terminated RJ45 cables without splicing or crimping, fitting standard wall plates and panels
This Monoprice Cat5e RJ45 inline coupler keystone jack connects two pre-terminated Ethernet cables without splicing or crimping. It fits standard keystone wall plates and panels for a clean, tool-free installation. The feedthrough design accepts RJ45 plugs on both front and rear sides. Model 7285 is supplied new and carries a lifetime warranty from the manufacturer.
Replace time-consuming wire splicing behind racks or patch panels with this coupler that joins factory-terminated cables instantly. The jump is worth it when you need to extend or bridge runs without a punch-down tool or when reconfiguring drops in structured cabling. It is not suited for installers who must terminate bare conductors to a keystone jack.
The component is rated for Cat5e performance, limiting throughput to the capabilities of that standard rather than higher categories. Its physical size follows the universal keystone footprint, so it will not fit non-keystone faceplates or surface-mount boxes. No active electronics or signal conditioning are present inside the coupler.

It fits all standard keystone wall plates and panels, so it snaps into any standard keystone cut-out without adapters.
Snap the jack into the keystone opening, then plug RJ45 cables into both front and back ports; the step often missed is ensuring each connector clicks fully into the feedthrough.
The coupler itself has no moving parts to service; only the patch cables inserted front and back may need replacement if their tabs break or conductors degrade.
