Monolith AMT Headphone 143235

The Monolith AMT Headphone 143235 uses a full-range Air Motion Transformer driver with a folded diaphragm for accurate, low-distortion sound. Its open-back grille design creates a wide, spacious soundstage suited to critical listening at home. Weighing 24 ounces with a padded headband, it targets audiophiles who want extended comfort during long sessions.

Open-back build with swappable earpads

The open-back earcups let air reach the driver, producing an airy presentation but leaking sound into quiet rooms. A removable earpad system ships with both memory-foam lambskin and velour pairs, so listeners can choose their preferred feel without tools. The 6-foot cable terminates in a 3.5 mm plug and includes a 1/4-inch adapter for direct amp connection.

Upgrade from closed-back or dynamic-driver models

Moving from a sealed design to this open-back AMT model adds soundstage width and imaging precision that closed cups cannot match. The jump is worth it when a quiet environment allows sound leakage and the listener values transparency over isolation. Buyers needing portable isolation or deep sub-bass impact should look elsewhere.
