Professional Instrument Cable for Electric Guitar

The Monster Prolink Rock Instrument Cable is a 6 ft straight-to-straight lead built for electric guitar players who need a reliable connection between instrument and amplifier. Its male-to-male auxiliary connectors suit standard 1/4 inch jacks on guitars, pedals and amps. The black Duraflex jacket protects the internal conductors during frequent stage and studio use.

Shielding Limits and Signal Integrity

A dense 95% copper braided shield reduces electromagnetic interference and mains hum that can corrupt a high-impedance instrument signal. Carbon-infused polymer damping suppresses handling and vibration noise caused by cable movement. These features preserve tonal clarity but cannot eliminate noise generated inside the guitar electronics or the amplifier itself.

Jack Compatibility and Routing Check

Verify that both your instrument and amplifier or pedalboard use straight 1/4 inch jacks with enough clearance for the straight plugs. Right-angle sockets or tightly spaced panels may prevent a secure connection. Ensure the 6 ft length reaches your signal chain without tension or excess slack that could create a trip hazard.
