Sky Blue Parachute Hammock

The MOSFiATA hammock is a lightweight outdoor shelter made from 210T parachute nylon with double-stitching for tear resistance. It unfolds to 116 by 55 inches and supports one person up to 500 lbs. The pack weighs 1.2 lbs and compresses into a 5.9 by 8.6 inch carry bag for backpacking or travel.

Tree Straps and Carabiners

Two 80 inch tree friendly straps with steel carabiners are included for knot free setup around trunks or posts. The straps distribute load without damaging bark and adjust quickly for height or sag. No tools or additional hardware are required to hang the hammock.

Packed Portability

The integrated stuff sack stores the hammock and both straps in a bundle measuring 5.9 by 8.6 inches. At 1.2 lbs total the system adds minimal weight to a pack and fits inside most daypacks or panniers. The bag keeps fabric clean and dry between uses.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 80 inch tree straps and steel carabiners without tying knots?

Wrap each 80 inch strap around a tree, thread the loop through its own end, clip the steel carabiner to the hammock's end loop, then adjust height by moving the carabiner along the strap's attachment points.

What maintenance or replacement will the 210T parachute nylon and double-stitching need after extended outdoor use?

Rinse salt and dirt with fresh water, air-dry completely before packing into the 5.9 x 8.6 inch bag, inspect double-stitching and carabiner gates each season, replace straps if abrasion cuts fibres.

What limit appears first when the hammock is loaded near its 500 lb capacity for long periods?

The 210T nylon fabric and reinforced stitching will stretch gradually under sustained 500 lb loads, so sag increases before any sudden failure of the material or carabiners.
