Business-grade digital two-way radio

The Motorola DTR700 operates on the license-free 900 MHz ISM band and provides 50 channels for private digital communication. It is built for professional teams in retail, hospitality, education and industrial environments who need reliable voice coordination without monthly service fees.

Coverage limits and environmental rating

Indoor coverage reaches up to 350,000 sq. ft. or 30 floors, while the 900 MHz frequency helps avoid interference common on lower bands. The IP54 rating and MIL-STD-810C-G certification confirm resistance to dust, water splashes, shock and vibration in demanding workplaces.

Installation and common issues

The package includes the radio, charger, antenna, battery and belt clip for immediate deployment. Users should fully charge the lithium-ion pack before first use to achieve the rated 16.5 hours of runtime. A frequent oversight is leaving the radio on a channel already occupied by another group, which blocks private one-to-one and group calling features until a clear channel is selected.
