Two radios with swivel earpieces

This pack supplies two Motorola RMU2080 two-way radios and two HKLN4604 swivel earpieces with in-line microphones and push-to-talk buttons. Each radio includes a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, drop-in tray charger, holster and power supply. The set is ready for immediate team deployment.

Teams needing private UHF channels

The radios operate on 99 UHF frequencies with 219 PL/DPL codes, six of which are customizable, giving groups secure channel options. The 1500mW speaker cuts through noise on construction sites or in warehouses. Buyers who need VHF operation, trunking capability or more than two handsets should look elsewhere.

Coverage up to 250000 square feet

A single unit is rated for secure communication across areas up to 250000 square feet, making the pair suitable for large indoor or campus environments. This range figure is the key specification for deciding whether the kit matches the site size.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 2-pack or buy single radios for my team?

The bundle includes two RMU2080 radios and two HKLN4604 earpieces, so a 2-pack equips two users immediately with private listening and push-to-talk.

What does the 250000 square feet coverage figure mean inside a real building?

That figure represents the maximum range in open conditions; interior walls, steel structures and floors will reduce the effective area significantly.

How do the 99 UHF frequencies and 219 PL/DPL codes work together on this radio?

The 99 UHF channels provide the operating frequencies, while the 219 PL/DPL codes — including six customizable ones — add privacy layers on each channel.
