Plug-and-Play Lavalier for 3.5 mm TRS Devices

The Movo DOM1 is a lavalier condenser microphone that connects directly to any 3.5 mm TRS input on cameras, recorders or similar gear. It draws power from the host device so no batteries are needed. The omnidirectional capsule captures sound equally from every direction with a sensitivity of 30 decibels.

47-Inch Cable and Omnidirectional Pickup

A 47-inch flexible cable lets you position the mic away from the recorder while you move freely during filming. The omnidirectional pattern means you do not have to aim the capsule at the sound source, which simplifies setup for vlogs, interviews or run-and-gun shoots.

Suited to Solo Creators Using TRS Inputs

This microphone suits solo video creators who want a lightweight, battery-free lav for DSLR or recorder inputs. It weighs .041 units and clips on quickly. Buyers who need wireless freedom, a directional pattern to reject off-axis noise or a connector other than 3.5 mm TRS should look at something else.

Questions about this item

Does the 3.5 mm TRS connector wear out and need replacement?

The gold-plated 3.5 mm TRS plug is rated for thousands of insertions; normal studio use will not require replacement.

What limits continuous recording time on the DOM1?

Because the microphone draws power from the 3.5 mm TRS device, recording lasts as long as the camera or recorder battery holds charge.

How much noise or heat does the DOM1 add during all-day shoots?

The condenser capsule runs passively with no electronics that generate heat, and the omnidirectional pickup adds no self-noise beyond the 30 dB sensitivity rating.
