Moza RS081 12Nm Direct Drive Simulator

SKU CH-MZBJ-YP0D5 MPN RS081

A 12 Nm direct-drive wheel base with a 21-bit magnetic encoder and NexGen 4.0 force feedback algorithm delivers smooth, precise sim-racing torque

  • 12 Nm direct-drive torque reproduces race-car steering forces
  • 21-bit magnetic encoder resolves 2,097,152 steps per rotation for microscopic detail
  • Slanted-pole servo motor cuts cogging and vibration for near-silent operation
  • NexGen 4.0 force-feedback algorithm delivers smooth, precise, immersive feel
  • Aviation-grade aluminium chassis with active cooling sustains performance during long sessions

12 Nm Direct Drive Wheel Base

The Moza RS081 is a 12 Nm direct drive wheel base built for sim racing. Its high-torque servo motor uses a skewed-pole design and the NexGen 4.0 force feedback algorithm. A 21-bit magnetic encoder divides each rotation into 2,097,152 steps for 0.00017° resolution. An intelligent temperature control system manages heat during extended sessions.

Suits racers wanting strong, detailed torque

Drivers who need 12 Nm of peak torque and ultra-fine force feedback resolution will benefit from the slanted-pole motor and 280 MHz processor. Buyers who want more torque than 12 Nm or who require a different mounting standard should look at other bases. The unit is sold as a wheel base only; a rim and pedals are not included.

Check mounting pattern and power supply

Verify that your rig accepts the wheel base mounting pattern before ordering. Confirm that your power outlet matches the unit's input requirements. Ensure your simulation software supports direct drive devices and that you have a USB port for the connection and firmware updates.

Questions about this item

Which steering wheel rims can I attach to the RS081 wheel base?

The RS081 uses a standard quick-release that accepts Moza and compatible third-party rims with the same bolt pattern.

Will my existing Moza pedals and shifter work with the RS081 base?

Yes, Moza pedals and the Moza SGP sequential shifter connect directly to the RS081 via their dedicated ports.

How do I verify the 21-bit encoder is delivering 2,097,152 steps per revolution?

Open the Moza Pit House app, enable the encoder readout, and turn the wheel one full rotation; the counter should increase by 2,097,152 counts.
