Who This Suits

Owners of a 6th Generation iPod Touch A1574 whose original battery no longer holds a useful charge will find this a direct swap. The bundled tools let you open the device without buying a separate kit. Buyers with a 5th Generation iPod Touch or any other iPod model should look elsewhere because the connector and dimensions differ. Anyone needing a higher capacity than 1000mAh will not be served by this part.

Sustained Use

The lithium-polymer chemistry delivers a steady 3.7V nominal output during extended playback sessions. Capacity remains at 1000mAh over repeated charge cycles when the device is used within normal temperature limits. The cell is designed to match the original discharge profile so the iPod reports remaining runtime accurately. No active cooling is required in the sealed enclosure.
