5-port HDMI 2.1 switch with ARC

The Mrocioa D521ARC connects five HDMI sources to one display and passes audio back to a sound system through ARC. It handles 8K resolution and 4K at 120 Hz for consoles such as PS5 or Xbox Series X. The unit includes an infrared remote and an iOS app for control. Builders who need more than five inputs or a second simultaneous output cannot use this switch.

HDMI 2.1 bandwidth and ARC limitations

The switch operates at 48 Gbps and supports HDCP 2.3, VRR, ALLM, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. ARC and eARC only work when the TV or projector also supports the feature, and Port 1 is the primary ARC path; Ports 2 to 5 may not pass audio on some displays. Cable quality and length affect stability, so flicker or signal loss can occur with long or thin leads. Users who require guaranteed ARC on every port or runs beyond standard cable limits should look elsewhere.

Manual 8K/4K/1080P mode button

A dedicated MODE button lets you force the switch between 8K, 4K and 1080P timing to improve compatibility with difficult displays. If 4K 120 Hz or 8K does not appear, the TV setting Input Signal Plus must be enabled before pressing MODE again. This single control decides whether the switcher will reliably pass high-refresh signals in your specific setup.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 5-port version or a smaller switch for my setup?

The D521ARC gives you five HDMI inputs and one output, so you can connect up to five sources such as a PS5, Xbox, Apple TV, Fire Stick and a soundbar without swapping cables.

What does the 48 Gbps bandwidth mean when I plug this into my 8K display?

It carries the full HDMI 2.1 signal — 8K at 60 Hz or 4K at 120 Hz — plus HDR10+ and Dolby Vision metadata, so the picture quality from each source reaches the screen uncompressed.

How does the ARC connection work with my soundbar and TV?

Ports 2–5 can send audio back to an ARC- or eARC-capable soundbar through the TV; if your TV only supports ARC on HDMI 1, move the switch to that port and press the MODE button to lock 8K, 4K or 1080p for best compatibility.
