What this combination cartridge filters
The MSA 815180 is a threaded combination cartridge and filter rated P100. It removes chlorine, chlorine dioxide, hydrogen chloride, hydrogen sulfide, organic vapour and sulphur dioxide. The magenta and yellow colour coding identifies the multi-gas protection. It is made for workers who need both particulate and gas defence in one screw-on unit.
Threaded connection limits compatibility
The cartridge uses a threaded connection that fits only the MSA Comfo Twin-Cartridge Series respirators. It will not seal on bayonet, push-to-click or other manufacturer interfaces. The NIOSH approval applies only when the cartridge is correctly mated to that specific series. Mixing connection types breaks the seal and voids the rated protection.
Check your respirator series before ordering
Confirm the respirator you own belongs to the MSA Comfo Twin-Cartridge Series and accepts threaded cartridges. Verify the hazard assessment for your workplace lists the six contaminants above. Ensure you have a fit-test record for the complete facepiece with this cartridge type installed.
