Ready-to-play AI gaming desktop

The MSI Aegis R2 arrives as a complete Windows 11 Home system built around a 24-core Intel Core Ultra 9 285 processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 graphics card with 16GB of video memory. 32GB of DDR5 RAM and a 1TB M.2 NVMe SSD provide fast memory and storage out of the box. Liquid cooling keeps the high-performance components running steadily.

Ideal for 4K gaming and local AI workloads

This configuration suits players who want high frame rates at 4K resolution and creators who run local AI models that benefit from 16GB of GPU memory and 32GB of system RAM. Buyers who need more than 1TB of fast storage or who plan to install multiple additional graphics cards should look at a platform with greater drive bays and a larger power budget.

Verify case clearance and power needs

The chassis measures 9.1 inches wide, 19 inches deep and 19.4 inches high, so confirm your desk or shelf can accommodate those dimensions. An 850W 80+ Gold power supply is installed; check that your mains circuit can deliver the required current. The motherboard offers four DDR5 slots supporting up to 256GB total, three M.2 slots and four SATA 6G ports for future storage expansion.

Questions about this item

Does this desktop need any extra power cables or a separate monitor to start gaming?

It ships with an 850W 80+ Gold supply and includes an MSI keyboard and mouse. You only need to add a display with HDMI or DisplayPort input.

Can I keep my older SATA SSDs and PCIe add-in cards when I move to this system?

Yes. The board provides four SATA 6G ports and four PCI-E x16 slots, so existing 2.5-inch drives and expansion cards will fit.

How can I confirm the RTX 5080 is running at full speed after I set up the PC?

Open the NVIDIA control panel, check the GPU clock on the System Information page, and run a demanding game — the core should boost toward its rated maximum.
