Codex R2 AI Gaming Desktop

This MSI Codex R2 AI Gaming Desktop is a complete gaming system built around an Intel Core Ultra 7 265 processor with 20 cores and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Ti graphics card with 16GB GDDR5 memory. It ships with 24GB of DDR3 RAM, a 1TB NVMe SSD and Windows 11 Home pre-installed. A USB keyboard and mouse are included in the box.

Suits 1440p gamers wanting a ready-to-play rig

The 16GB GPU and 24GB system memory handle modern titles at high settings, while Wi-Fi 6E and 5Gbps LAN keep online latency low. Buyers who need more than 24GB of RAM out of the box or who require additional PCIe expansion slots beyond the single x16 should consider other configurations. The 650W 80+ Gold power supply supports the included components without overhead for major upgrades.

24GB DDR3 memory configuration

This desktop uses 24GB of DDR3 memory, a specification that determines upgrade compatibility. The four DDR5 slots support up to 256GB total capacity, but the installed modules are DDR3 and cannot be mixed with DDR5. Verify your memory requirements before purchase to ensure the installed type matches your workflow.

Questions about this item

How do I choose between the 24GB DDR3 and the 256GB DDR5 maximum capacity?

The system ships with 24GB DDR3 installed. The motherboard provides four DDR5 slots supporting up to 256GB total, so you can add DDR5 modules later if you need more memory.

What does the 16GB GDDR5 on the RTX 5060 Ti mean for actual gaming?

The 16GB GDDR5 frame buffer lets the RTX 5060 Ti hold high-resolution textures and large scenes without swapping to system memory, keeping frame rates stable at 1440p and entry-level 4K settings.

Which Wi-Fi standard is built in and what speed does it cap at?

Wi-Fi 6E is included, operating on the 6GHz band for lower latency and higher throughput than previous generations when paired with a compatible router.
