18-inch QHD+ 240Hz display

The 18-inch QHD+ panel runs at 2560 x 1600 resolution with a 240Hz refresh rate on an IPS substrate. This combination gives competitive gamers smooth motion and content creators accurate colour across a large workspace. The non-touch screen keeps the surface free of fingerprints during long sessions.

Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX with 32GB DDR5

The 24-core processor (8P+16E) pairs with 32GB of DDR5 memory to handle AAA titles, AI workloads and heavy multitasking without bottlenecks. A 1TB SSD provides fast boot and game-load speeds while leaving expansion slots open for future storage upgrades. Windows 11 Home is pre-installed and the system qualifies as a Copilot+ PC for on-device AI features.

RTX 5070 8GB GDDR7 graphics

The GeForce RTX 5070 laptop GPU with 8GB of GDDR7 video memory drives the high-refresh display in modern titles. Under sustained load the cooling system manages thermals so clock speeds remain stable and fan noise stays at a level suitable for shared spaces. Power draw scales with workload, allowing quieter operation during lighter tasks.

Questions about this item

What limits the Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX 24-core processor during sustained heavy workloads?

The 24-core Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX will hit thermal limits first under sustained load, causing clock speeds to throttle to maintain safe temperatures within the 18-inch chassis.

How loud and hot does the MSI Crosshair 18 HX get when running all day?

Under continuous load the cooling system spins up audible fans and the keyboard deck grows warm; the 240Hz IPS panel and RTX 5070 8GB GDDR7 GPU add to the heat output.

What must I already own to use the 18-inch QHD+ 240Hz display externally?

To drive an external monitor at 2560×1600 you need a display with a compatible input and a cable that matches the laptop's video-out port.
