LOQ 15 with RTX 5050 graphics

The Lenovo LOQ 15 is a 15.6 inch gaming laptop built around an Intel Core i7-13650HX processor with 14 cores and 20 threads. It ships with 32GB of DDR5 memory and a 512GB PCIe SSD. The GeForce RTX 5050 GPU carries 8GB of GDDR7 video memory. Windows 11 Home is pre-installed.

RTX 5050 graphics with GDDR7 memory deliver steady frame rates without the drops seen in short-burst tests. Thermal design supports continuous performance for extended play or rendering.

Check ports and upgrade room

Verify that the single USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port with Power Delivery and DisplayPort 2.1 meets your docking needs. Three USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports and one HDMI 2.1 output handle peripherals and external displays. Questions about this item

Does the i7-13650HX and RTX 5050 run loud or hot during long gaming sessions?

The 14-core i7-13650HX reaches 4.9 GHz under load, and the RTX 5050 uses 8 GB GDDR7. Lenovo's LOQ cooling handles the combined heat, so fan noise rises but stays typical for a 15.6" 5.28 lb chassis.

What must I already own to use the USB-C 10 Gbps port with DisplayPort 1.4 and Power Delivery?

A monitor or dock with USB-C DisplayPort alt-mode input, and a USB-C cable rated for 10 Gbps and the wattage your power brick supplies.

Will my older USB 3.0 Type-A mouse and HDMI 1.4 monitor work at full speed?

Yes. The three USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports run at 5 Gbps, matching USB 3.0. The HDMI 2.1 output down-negotiates to 1080p 144 Hz on an HDMI 1.4 screen.
