Cyborg 15 gaming laptop

The MSI Cyborg 15 is a 15.6 inch Windows 11 gaming laptop built around an 8-core AMD Ryzen 9 270 processor and dedicated NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 graphics. It targets gamers and creators who want high frame rates on a 144Hz IPS panel without moving to a larger chassis. The 64GB DDR5 memory and 1TB SSD are installed at the factory.

Capacity and headroom

Sixty-four gigabytes of DDR5 gives wide headroom for modern titles, streaming and heavy multitasking; the 1TB SSD holds a large library but will fill with 4K captures or large project files. The RTX 5060 with 8GB GDDR7 delivers 144Hz gaming at 1920x1080, while demanding ray-traced scenes or higher resolutions will push the GPU toward its limits.

Build fit and connections

A USB-C 3.2 port with DisplayPort and Power Delivery 3.0 drives external monitors and charges accessories, while HDMI 2.1 supports 4K at 60Hz. Two USB-A 3.2 ports and RJ45 Ethernet handle peripherals and wired networking. Wi-Fi6E and a 55.2Wh battery complete the package for desk or mobile use.

Questions about this item

Will the USB-C 3.2 port with DisplayPort and Power Delivery 3.0 drive my older 1080p 60Hz monitor without an extra dock?

Yes, the USB-C 3.2 port carries DisplayPort video and Power Delivery 3.0, so a single cable can run a 1080p 60Hz display and supply power to compatible peripherals.

How can I confirm the 144Hz panel and RTX 5060 8GB GDDR7 are active after first boot?

Open Windows display settings and set the refresh rate to 144Hz, then launch Task Manager or GPU-Z to verify the RTX 5060 8GB GDDR7 appears as the active graphics adapter.

What ships in the box and what must I buy separately for a full desktop setup?

The box contains the laptop, a power adapter and documentation; you will need to purchase an external monitor cable, any USB-A hub, and a carrying case separately.
