15.6″ QHD 165 Hz Gaming Laptop

The MSI Katana pairs a 15.6″ IPS panel at 2560 x 1440 with a 165 Hz refresh rate. It is built for players who want sharp motion clarity in competitive titles and enough screen real-estate for productivity. An Intel Core i7-14650HX with 16 cores and 24 threads drives the system alongside an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 GPU. Windows 11 Home ships pre-installed.

32 GB DDR5 5600 Memory and 512 GB NVMe SSD

The 32 GB of DDR5 5600 RAM gives comfortable headroom for modern games, streaming and multitasking workloads. The 512 GB PCIe Gen 4x4 NVMe M.2 SSD loads the OS and a handful of large titles quickly. Storage-hungry libraries will require an additional drive, and memory upgrades beyond 32 GB are not described in the supplied data.

4-Zone RGB Keyboard WiFi 6E Bluetooth 5.3

A four-zone RGB backlit keyboard with anti-ghost keys lets you customise lighting per zone for better visibility in low light. WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 provide current-generation wireless connectivity for low-latency online play and peripheral pairing. The 55.2 Wh battery, three USB Type-A ports, one USB Type-C, HDMI and RJ-45 complete the I/O set.

Questions about this item

Can I keep using my 10/100/1000Mbps wired dock and older USB-A peripherals with this laptop?

Yes, the laptop includes a built-in RJ-45 port for Gigabit Ethernet and three USB Type-A ports, so existing docks and peripherals connect directly without adapters.

How can I confirm the 15.6" 165Hz QHD panel and RTX 5070 8GB GDDR7 GPU are running at their rated specs after setup?

Open the NVIDIA control panel to verify the GPU shows 8GB GDDR7, then check Windows display settings or the monitor OSD to confirm 2560 x 1440 at 165 Hz.

What ships in the box and what must I buy separately for storage expansion?

The box contains the laptop, power adapter and documentation; the 512GB PCIe Gen 4x4 NVMe M.2 SSD is already installed, and a second M.2 slot is free for an additional NVMe drive you purchase separately.
