15.6-inch QHD 165Hz gaming laptop

The MSI Katana pairs a 15.6-inch QHD IPS panel at 165 Hz with an Intel Core i7-14650HX processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 graphics. Sixteen gigabytes of DDR5 memory and a 1024 GB SSD provide capacity for modern titles and creative workloads. Windows 11 Pro ships pre-installed.

Upgrade from 1080p 60 Hz or older mobile GPUs

The 2560x1440 resolution and 165 Hz refresh rate deliver sharper motion than standard 1080p 60 Hz panels. The RTX 5070 with GDDR7 memory raises frame rates in current games compared with previous-generation mobile GPUs. The jump is worth it when you play competitive shooters or edit video at QHD.

Fits a portable setup with external displays

Three USB 3.2 Gen2 ports, one USB 3.2 Gen 2/DP port with PD 3.0 charging and an HDMI output let you connect monitors, storage and peripherals without a dock. WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 handle wireless links. The 4-cell battery and 14.13 x 10.31 x 0.99 inch chassis keep weight at 5.29 lbs for transport between desk and LAN events.
