15.6-inch 165Hz QHD gaming laptop

This MSI Katana 15 combines a 15.6-inch 165Hz QHD panel with an Intel Core i7-14650HX processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 graphics. It ships with 64GB DDR5 memory and a 2TB PCIe SSD. Windows 11 Pro and an Office 2024 licence are pre-installed.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

The 16-core CPU and 24 threads handle heavy multitasking and content creation alongside gaming. The 165Hz QHD screen benefits competitive titles at this resolution. Buyers who only play at 1080p or need a higher refresh rate for esports should consider alternatives.

The spec that decides fit

The RTX 5060 with 8GB GDDR7 video memory sets the performance ceiling for modern games at QHD. If your workload demands more GPU memory or a different tier, this is not the right machine.
