Built for competitive play

The Katana 15 pairs a 16-core Intel Core i7 14650HX with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5050 8GB GDDR7 GPU. A 15.6-inch 1920 x 1080 144Hz panel keeps motion sharp. Windows 11 Pro and an Office 2021 licence ship ready to work. 32GB DDR5 4800 memory and a 1TB PCIe SSD provide fast storage headroom.

Connectivity that scales

Three USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C ports and one Type-A port handle modern peripherals. HDMI 2.1 drives an external high-refresh display. RJ45 Ethernet and Intel Wi-Fi 6E AX211 with Bluetooth 5.3 keep latency low. The chassis measures 14.13 x 10.31 x .99 inches at 5.29 pounds.

Memory and storage headroom

32GB DDR5 handles heavy multitasking and current titles without paging. The 1TB PCIe SSD holds a large game library and creative projects. When the SSD fills, external drives become the only expansion path because the platform offers no additional internal slots.

Questions about this item

Can the 32 GB DDR5 4800 memory be expanded later?

The laptop ships with 32 GB DDR5 4800 installed; any future upgrade would need compatible DDR5 modules and an available SO-DIMM slot.

Does the 144 Hz FHD panel or the RTX 5050 8 GB GDDR7 become the bottleneck during long gaming sessions?

Sustained loads are typically limited by the cooling capacity for the i7-14650HX and RTX 5050 rather than the 144 Hz display.

How loud and hot does the chassis get when the i7-14650HX and RTX 5050 run all day?

Under continuous load the dual-fan cooler spins up noticeably and the 0.99-inch chassis surface becomes warm to the touch.
