24-core i9-14900HX Raider laptop

The MSI Katana 15 Raider is a 15.6-inch gaming laptop built around an Intel Core i9-14900HX processor with 24 cores and 32 threads. It ships with Windows 11 Home and a 165Hz QHD+ anti-glare IPS panel at 2560 x 1600 resolution. The system includes 32GB of DDR5 memory and a 2TB PCIe SSD for fast storage.

Suits high-refresh competitive play.

This configuration suits players who want high frame rates at QHD+ on a 165Hz display with an RTX 5070 12GB GDDR7 GPU. The 45% NTSC colour coverage and lack of a card reader make it a poor fit for professional photo or video editing where wide gamut and media ingest are required.

RTX 5070 12GB GDDR7 decides 1440p high-refresh

The single specification that determines whether this is the right part is the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop GPU with 12GB GDDR7 video memory. It defines the 1440p gaming performance ceiling on the 165Hz QHD+ panel. If your workload needs more VRAM or a wider colour gamut, look at a different GPU tier or display spec.
