Curved Rapid VA Gaming Monitor

The MSI MAG 274CQF is a 27 inch curved gaming monitor built around a Rapid VA panel with a 1500R curvature. It delivers a 2560 x 1440 QHD resolution at a 180 Hz refresh rate and a 0.5 ms GtG minimum response time. Adaptive Sync support keeps frames tear-free while the panel covers 89% Adobe RGB, 93% DCI-P3 and 128% sRGB for vivid colour.

Competitive gamers and console players

Fast-paced PC gamers gain the 180 Hz refresh rate and sub-millisecond response needed for shooters and racing titles. Console players can use the dedicated Console Mode for optimized compatibility with PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Buyers who need a flat panel for multi-monitor alignment or professional users requiring factory calibration reports and wider gamut coverage should consider other options.

180 Hz refresh rate with 0.5 ms response

The single specification that decides suitability is the combination of a 180 Hz maximum refresh rate and a 0.5 ms GtG minimum response time on a Rapid VA panel. If your gaming workload demands higher refresh rates or faster pixel transitions than these figures provide, this monitor will not meet that requirement.

Questions about this item

Does the 1500R curve suit a 27 inch desk setup?

The 1500R curvature matches the natural field of view at typical arm’s length, so a 27 inch panel fills peripheral vision without excessive edge distortion.

Will the 0.5 ms GtG response keep motion clear at 180 Hz?

A 0.5 ms grey-to-grey transition fits well within the 5.6 ms frame window of 180 Hz, reducing ghosting in fast scenes.

Which video inputs are available for PC and console?

The monitor provides HDMI and DisplayPort sockets, covering both graphics cards and current consoles.
