24" 240Hz Fast IPS Gaming Monitor

The ASUS TUF Gaming VG249QM5A is a 23.8-inch Full HD display built for competitive play. Its Fast IPS panel runs at 240Hz with a 0.30ms response time and covers 99% sRGB and 88% DCI-P3 for accurate colour. AMD FreeSync Premium and G-Sync Compatible adaptive sync keep motion tear-free.

Before Ordering Check Your Setup

Verify that your graphics card can drive 1920 x 1080 at 240Hz over the available video outputs. Confirm your system supports variable refresh rate so FreeSync Premium or G-Sync Compatible modes activate correctly. Ensure you have desk space for a 24-inch flat panel with a 16:9 aspect ratio.

Sustained Load Behaviour

The 300 cd/m2 brightness and 1000:1 contrast ratio remain stable during extended sessions thanks to the non-curved Fast IPS design. ELMB Sync works alongside adaptive refresh to suppress ghosting without flicker at high frame rates. Wide 178° viewing angles preserve colour consistency even after hours of continuous use.

Questions about this item

Does the 0.3ms response time require a specific overdrive setting or ELMB Sync to be active?

The 0.3ms figure is a minimum specification for the Fast IPS panel; ELMB Sync can be enabled alongside variable refresh rate to reduce ghosting, and DisplayWidget Center lets you adjust overdrive levels.

Will the 240Hz refresh rate work at 1080p over HDMI with my current graphics card?

The monitor supports a 240Hz refresh rate at 1920x1080 resolution; achieving this requires a graphics card and cable capable of the necessary bandwidth for that signal.

How much desk depth does the stand need, and can I mount the screen on a VESA arm instead?

The included stand provides tilt, swivel, pivot and height adjustment; the monitor also offers VESA mounting compatibility for use with a separate arm or wall bracket.
