What this 650 W PSU delivers

The MSI MAG A650GN II is an ATX power supply rated at 650 W. It accepts 120 V and 230 V AC input and includes active power factor correction. A single cooling fan handles thermal duties and the unit reaches 85 % efficiency. It ships with an on/off switch and carries a PCI Express 5.1 connector for modern graphics cards.

Who this unit suits and who it does not

Builders assembling a mid-range gaming PC with one modern GPU will find the connectors and wattage adequate. Systems that demand multiple high-end graphics cards or extreme overclocking headroom need a higher-capacity design. Compact chassis requiring SFX dimensions should choose a different form factor.

The spec that decides fit

The PCI Express 5.1 connector is the decisive detail. If your graphics card requires the 12VHPWR interface this unit provides it natively. Older cards using traditional 6-pin or 8-pin plugs will also work with the included cables. Verify your GPU power specification before purchasing.
