Air cooler with 120 mm ARGB fan

The MSI MAG COREFROZR AA13 is a tower-style air cooler built around a 120 mm ARGB PWM fan and four direct-touch heat-pipes. It mounts vertically on the heatsink and ships with pre-applied thermal paste for quicker installation. Rated at 240 W TDP, it targets mainstream desktop CPUs that need more headroom than a stock cooler provides.

Builders using LGA 1700, LGA 1851.

This cooler fits current Intel and AMD mainstream platforms without extra brackets. Buyers who need to cool a processor above 240 W TDP should look at larger dual-tower or liquid solutions. Systems with limited clearance above the motherboard may also require a slimmer alternative.

240 W TDP rating

The 240 W thermal design power is the single figure that decides whether this cooler matches a given CPU. If the processor’s rated heat output exceeds 240 W, the cooler cannot guarantee adequate temperatures under sustained load.

Questions about this item

Does the box include mounting hardware for LGA 1700 and AM5 sockets, or do I need a separate bracket kit?

The cooler ships with mounting hardware for Intel LGA 1700, Intel LGA 1851, AMD AM4 and AMD AM5 sockets, so no extra bracket kit is required for those platforms.

Is the 240 W TDP rating the only difference between this model and higher-capacity coolers in the same series?

This model is rated for 240 W TDP; other coolers in the range may offer higher TDP ratings, larger heatsinks or additional fans, but those specifications are not part of this product.

What does the 62.6 CFM airflow figure mean for actual CPU temperatures under load?

At maximum speed the fan moves 62.6 CFM, which together with the direct-touch heat pipes is designed to keep a 240 W processor within thermal limits, though case airflow and ambient temperature also affect results.
