49-inch QD-OLED for immersive gaming

The MSI MPG 491CQPX QD-OLED is a 49-inch curved gaming monitor built around a QD-OLED panel with a 32:9 DQHD resolution of 5120 x 1440. Its 1800R curvature wraps the ultra-wide field of view around the user for deep immersion in simulation and first-person titles. The panel delivers 0.03ms GTG response and a 240Hz refresh rate, targeting competitive players who demand minimal motion blur. Adaptive Sync support keeps frame delivery smooth across variable frame rates.

Connectivity and ergonomics for mixed setups

Two HDMI 2.1 ports and one DisplayPort 1.4a handle DQHD at 240Hz from modern GPUs and consoles, while a USB-C port with DisplayPort alt mode adds 98W power delivery for a connected laptop. The stand provides height adjustment, swivel and tilt so the large curved screen can be centred comfortably. Two USB 2.0 Type-A ports and a Type-B upstream port create a simple peripheral hub, and a headphone output sits within reach. VESA mounting is available for arm or wall installations.

Sustained HDR brightness and burn-in protection

In HDR the monitor reaches 450 nits typical at 10% APL under the DisplayHDR True Black 400 spec, with a 1000-nit peak at 3% APL for specular highlights. The 1,500,000:1 contrast ratio and 1.07 billion colours are maintained across long sessions thanks to OLED Care 2.0, which runs automatic pixel-refresh and static-logo detection to reduce burn-in risk. ClearMR 13000 certification confirms low motion blur during extended high-refresh gameplay.

Questions about this item

Does the 32:9 aspect ratio and 1800R curvature suit a deep desk?

The 1800R curve wraps the 49 inch panel around your field of view, and the 32:9 ratio matches two 1440p panels side by side without a centre bezel.

Can a laptop charge and drive the display over one cable?

The USB-C port supports DisplayPort alt mode with 98W power delivery, so a compatible laptop can run 5120 x 1440 at 240Hz while charging.

Will the stand clear a low-profile keyboard tray?

The stand offers height adjustment, swivel and tilt so you can raise the screen above a tray or tilt it back for comfortable viewing.
