High-capacity ATX power supply

The MSI MPG A1250GS delivers 1250W of fully modular power in a standard ATX form factor. It carries 80 Plus Gold certification for efficient energy conversion. This unit suits high-end gaming rigs or workstations that demand substantial headroom.

For demanding single-GPU builds

Builders running a flagship graphics card and a high-wattage CPU will benefit from the 1250W limit and clean cable routing. Systems that require multiple top-tier GPUs or extreme overclocking headroom should consider higher-capacity options.

1250W maximum output

The single specification that decides fit is the 1250W rating. Match this figure to the total system draw under load; if the build peaks lower, a smaller unit may suffice, while heavier loads need more capacity.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 1250W model or a lower-wattage unit for my build?

Choose 1250W if your GPU and CPU combined can draw near that limit under full load; a lower-wattage unit risks shutdown when both components peak together.

What does the 1250W rating mean once the PSU is installed in my PC?

It is the maximum continuous power the unit can deliver across all rails without exceeding its thermal limits; sustained draws above that level will trigger protection.

Which ATX standard does this supply follow and what does that cap in practice?

It follows the ATX form factor, so it fits standard cases and motherboards; the 1250W ceiling is the practical limit for total system power draw.
