Titan 18 HX Dragon Edition

The MSI Titan 18 HX Dragon Edition Draco Epic A2WJ is an 18 inch mobile workstation built around an Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus processor with 24 cores and a 5.5 GHz maximum turbo frequency. It targets creators and engineers who need desktop class compute in a single chassis. The 128 GB DDR5 configuration and 24 GB GDDR7 GPU memory remove bottlenecks for large datasets and complex scenes.

Build integration with Mini LED UHD+

The 3840 by 2400 Mini LED panel runs at 240 Hz and occupies a 15.91 by 12.11 inch footprint that ranges from .94 to 1.26 inches thick at 7.94 lbs. LAN and WLAN connectivity handle wired and wireless infrastructure without extra dongles. Four M.2 PCIe 4.0 x4 slots accept the factory 16 TB NVMe array and leave room for future expansion. The 36 MB CPU L3 cache and dual channel 5600 MHz memory keep data close to the cores during sustained loads.

Gelid GC Extreme and BTO validation

HIDevolution applies Gelid GC Extreme thermal interface material on the CPU and GPU to lower peak temperatures and reduce throttling during extended render or compile sessions. Each unit receives a full quality control pass including BIOS and driver updates, burn in stress testing, benchmark verification, keyboard and touchpad checks, port validation, display inspection and physical chassis review. Windows 11 Pro ships pre installed and configured for immediate deployment.

Questions about this item

How does the 24-core Ultra 9 290HX Plus handle sustained all-core loads?

The processor runs at a 2.7 GHz base clock and can reach a 5.5 GHz maximum turbo frequency across its 24 cores, supported by 36 MB of L3 cache and Gelid GC Extreme thermal compound applied by the builder to reduce throttling during extended heavy workloads.

What are the thermal and acoustic results of the Gelid GC Extreme upgrade under continuous operation?

The builder applies Gelid GC Extreme thermal interface material to both the CPU and GPU, which lowers system temperatures and helps prevent throttling during prolonged CPU and GPU intensive tasks.

Which memory and storage configuration must already be present for the system to ship as described?

The laptop ships with 128 GB of DDR5 5600 MHz memory in a 2 x 64 GB dual-channel layout and 16 TB of storage configured as 2 x 8 TB M.2 PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe SSDs, all installed and validated by the builder before dispatch.
