An AMD TRX40 board with sTRX4 socket, eight memory slots for 256 GB quad-channel memory, four PCIe 4.0 x16 slots, dual 1 GbE LAN and 10 GbE LAN
The MSI PRO TRX40 PRO 10G motherboard uses the AMD TRX40 chipset and sTRX4 socket to support 3rd Gen AMD Ryzen Threadripper desktop processors in an ATX form factor. It provides eight 288-pin memory slots operating in quad-channel mode with a maximum capacity of 256 GB.
Four PCIe 4.0 x16 slots configurable as x16/x8/x16/x8 suit multi-GPU compute or render nodes, while two M.2 Key M slots and eight SATA 6Gb/s ports with RAID 0/1/10 cover high-throughput storage arrays. Dual Intel i211AT 1 GbE ports and a USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 Type-C connector serve networking and fast external drives.
The board includes a 10 GbE LAN controller alongside the dual 1 GbE ports, making it the decisive spec for studios that need direct high-speed links to shared storage or backup servers without add-in cards.
