90 Degree Side Inlet Elbow
This Mueller Industries 1WKT3 is a PVC Schedule 40 fitting designed for drain, waste and vent systems. It connects a 3 inch main run with a 1 1/2 inch side inlet at a right angle. The hub sockets accept standard Schedule 40 pipe for gravity-flow installations.
White PVC construction
The white PVC material resists corrosion and chemical attack in typical residential drainage applications. Rated for temperatures from -20 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit, it handles normal hot-water discharge without softening. No seal is included, so solvent cement must be used for watertight joints.
Verify pipe schedule and dimensions
Confirm that your existing pipe is Schedule 40 with a 3 inch and 1 1/2 inch outside diameter to match the socket sizes. Check local plumbing codes for approved materials and fitting types in drainage systems. Ensure adequate space for the 3 1/16 inch overall length during installation.

Questions about this item
Will the PVC material degrade or need replacement after years of hot water exposure?
The fitting is rated for continuous temperatures up to 140 degrees F and meets Schedule 40 standards, so it resists degradation under normal hot-water use.
What pressure limit will be reached first if this trap is used in a pressurised system?
It is designed for gravity flow only and carries no pressure rating, so any internal pressure exceeds its intended limit immediately.
Does the PVC expand or create noise when hot water runs through it all day?
Operating between -20 and 140 degrees F, the Schedule 40 PVC remains dimensionally stable and produces no mechanical noise during continuous flow.
