Converts analogue RCA composite video to 720p or 1080p HDMI at 60 Hz with PAL and NTSC support
The Mugust converter transforms analog RCA composite signals from Yellow, White and Red cables into an HDMI output at 720P or 1080P resolution with a 60Hz refresh rate. It accepts PAL, NTSC3.58, NTSC4.43, SECAM, PAL/M and PAL/N video standards. A USB power cable is included and must be connected to a 5V source for operation. No drivers are required for setup.
This unit replaces a direct analogue connection when a source device only offers composite video and a display lacks RCA inputs. The jump is worth it when connecting retro consoles such as PS2, PS3, Xbox, N64 or WII, plus VHS, VCR, DVD players or STB units to current HDTVs or monitors. It is not for buyers who need to convert component, S-Video or SCART signals, nor for installations that require upscaling beyond 1080P.
During continuous playback the converter draws power from the supplied USB cable, keeping the signal chain stable without an external brick. The plug-and-play design means no software configuration drifts over long sessions. It is not suited for users who need frame-rate conversion away from 60Hz or who require audio extraction separate from the HDMI stream.
