Murphy Oil Soap 32 oz Original Formula

This 32 oz bottle of Murphy Oil Soap Original Formula is a naturally gentle cleaner designed for wood surfaces. It contains no strong alkalis and cleans safely while bringing out the natural beauty of the wood. Suitable for homeowners and cleaning professionals maintaining finished wood interiors.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

Ideal for anyone cleaning cabinets, panelling, doors, tables, chairs, bookcases, banisters, stairs or painted wood. Not for buyers who need a heavy-duty degreaser, a disinfectant sanitiser, or a cleaner formulated for unfinished, waxed or oiled wood floors.

Capacity and headroom

The 32 oz liquid volume provides multiple cleaning sessions for typical household woodwork. It handles routine soil and grime on finished surfaces comfortably. It runs out when facing stubborn wax build-up, deep-set stains or large commercial floor areas requiring concentrated treatment.

Questions about this item

What type of cloth or applicator do I need to use with the 32 oz liquid cleaner?

Apply the liquid with a soft cloth, sponge or mop; wring it out so the wood is damp not soaked, then wipe dry with a clean cloth.

Can I use this cleaner on the polyurethane finish of my older kitchen cabinets?

Yes, the formula contains no strong alkalis so it cleans finished wood including polyurethane without dulling the surface.

How will I know the cleaner has done its job once I wipe the surface?

The wood looks clean rather than hazy, feels smooth not sticky, and shows its natural colour and grain once dry.
