VGA over Cat 5e/6 extension

The MuxLab 500040 is a PC-side VGA balun that converts a standard VGA signal for transmission over affordable UTP Cat 5e or Cat 6 cable. It supports resolutions up to 800x600 at distances up to 350 feet. A matching monitor-side balun is required at the display end and is sold separately.

Installers needing long cable runs

This extender suits installers who need to bridge long distances between a PC and a display without the cost or bulk of traditional VGA or coaxial cabling. It does not serve users who require higher resolutions such as 1080p or above. Buyers who want a single-box solution without purchasing a second balun should look at a different device.
