Power output and connector

This 120W AC adapter delivers 19V at 6.32A through a 5.5mm by 2.5mm barrel connector. It accepts an input range of 100-240V and is intended as a replacement for the Asus PA-1121-28 and ADP-120RH or ADP-120ZB units.

Sustained-load behaviour

The unit uses imported ICs and patented intelligent control technology to auto-distinguish the actual charging current required by the device. A 3.1 metre cable and a cable holder are included to support extended use over distance without strain on the connection.

Installation and common issues

The long mains lead and barrel plug make connection straightforward for the listed Asus models such as N550, N750, G551 and GL771 series. Buyers who need a different connector size, a higher wattage rating or a USB-C output will not be served by this adapter.

Questions about this item

How much heat or noise does the 120W 19V adapter produce when running all day?

The unit has no fan and relies on passive cooling, so it runs silently; the casing may become warm during continuous 120W load but stays within normal operating limits.

What must I already own for this 5.5 mm × 2.5 mm tip adapter to work?

You need an Asus laptop that accepts a 19 V 6.32 A barrel connector of that exact size and a standard mains socket for the included 3.1 m power cord.

Will this 19 V 6.32 A charger safely power my older Asus G50 or G71 series notebook?

Yes, the adapter matches the 19 V 6.32 A requirement listed for those models and the 5.5 mm × 2.5 mm plug fits the original barrel port.
