What this adapter powers

This 120 W 19 V 6.32 A AC adapter is built for ASUS TUF Gaming laptops including the FX505 and FX705 series. It ships new with a US power cord and a 6.0 × 3.7 mm barrel connector.

Connector and power limits

The 6.0 × 3.7 mm tip fits only models that specify this exact diameter; it will not mate with 4.5 × 3.0 mm or 5.5 × 2.5 mm ports. The unit delivers up to 120 W and cannot substitute an 180 W charger required by some configurations.

Replacing a lower-wattage brick

It replaces an original 120 W supply or a lower-rated unit that used the same 6.0 × 3.7 mm connector. The upgrade is worthwhile when the previous adapter failed or was underpowered for the laptop’s load.
