19V 30W AC adapter for Dell Mini and Acer Aspire One

This 30 watt AC adapter delivers 19 volts at 1.58 amps through a 5.5 by 1.7 millimetre barrel connector. It replaces the original charger for Dell Inspiron Mini 9, 10, 10v, 12, 910, 1010, 1011, 1012, 1018, 1090, 1210 and Vostro A90 models. It also fits Acer Aspire One A150, D150, D250, D255, D260, ZG5, ZA3, ZG8 and Gateway Kav60, Lt20, Lt2016u, Lt2030u, Lt31, N214 and Nav50 netbooks.

Installation is a direct plug-in swap

Connect the supplied mains cord to the adapter, plug the barrel into the laptop and insert the mains plug into a 100 to 240 volt socket. No drivers or configuration are required. The only common issue is a loose or worn DC jack on older netbooks that prevents a firm connection; if the plug wobbles, the socket may need repair before the adapter can charge reliably.

The 5.5 by 1.7 millimetre barrel limits

This connector size fits the listed Dell Mini, Vostro A90, Acer Aspire One and Gateway models only. Laptops that require a different barrel diameter, a centre pin or a USB-C power input cannot use this adapter. The 30 watt output also restricts use to low-power netbooks; larger laptops that draw more current will not charge or may trigger the adapter’s protection circuit.
