Power specification

This 19 volt, 3.42 amp AC adapter delivers 65 watts of regulated output for compatible Toshiba laptops. It replaces the original charger when the factory unit is lost or damaged. The connector uses a 2.5 millimetre inner and 5.5 millimetre outer barrel size.

Compatibility scope

The adapter fits the extensive Satellite, Portege and Radius model list supplied by the manufacturer, covering dozens of part numbers from the C55 series through to the Z930 ultrabook. It is not for owners of laptops that require a different voltage, amperage or tip geometry, nor for buyers who need a USB-C power delivery solution.

Deciding specification

The 2.5 millimetre by 5.5 millimetre barrel connector with centre-positive polarity is the single detail that determines whether this unit will mate with the laptop’s DC-in jack. Match that tip size exactly before ordering.
