TFX power supply delivering 420 W to replace 200–350 W units in HP Pavilion Slimline models 409815-001/002/003 with 80 mm fan and SATA connectors
This 420W TFX power supply replaces the original HP 409815-001, 409815-002 and 409815-003 units found in Pavilion Slimline desktops. It upgrades systems that shipped with 200, 250, 300 or 350 watt PSUs, delivering higher capacity for expanded configurations. The unit fits slimline and small form factor chassis requiring the TFX form factor. It is built for owners of those specific HP models needing a direct replacement.
The TFX shape restricts use to compatible slimline cases and prevents installation in standard ATX enclosures. Connectors provided are one 20+4 pin main, one 4-pin CPU, two SATA and two 4-pin Molex; no PCIe power leads are included. DC output rails deliver +12V at 14A, +5V and +3.3V at 12A each, -12V at 0.5A and +5VSB at 1.5A. AC input accepts 110/220V at 47-63GHz.
Installation is a direct swap: remove the old unit, mount the 0.6mm SECC case with its 80mm fan, and connect the fixed cables to the motherboard and drives. The single +12V rail simplifies load balancing but the limited connector count means builders adding multiple SATA devices or extra peripherals may need adapters. Verify the 4-pin CPU header matches the motherboard before closing the case.

The 420W TFX model is the direct upgrade; it fits the same Slimline and SFF chassis and uses the identical 20+4 pin main and 4-pin CPU connectors.
It provides extra headroom for the CPU and add-in cards while the +12V rail supplies 14A and the +5V/+3.3V rails each supply 12A, matching the original voltage layout.
Yes — the 0.6mm SECC case and 80mm fan follow the TFX footprint used by the HP 409815 series, so the unit aligns with the existing screw pattern.
