65 W AC adapter for Acer Chromebook

This 65 W AC adapter delivers 19 V at 3.42 A through a 3.0 x 1.1 mm barrel connector. It accepts a universal 100–240 V input at 50–60 Hz, making it suitable for worldwide mains supplies. The package includes the power brick and a detachable AC cord. It is intended for owners of compatible Acer Chromebook, Swift, Spin and Aspire models who need a replacement or spare charger.

Practical limits of the barrel interface

The 3.0 x 1.1 mm connector fits only devices designed for that exact barrel size and 19 V polarity. Supplying 65 W means the adapter cannot charge laptops that require higher wattage over the same barrel, nor can it negotiate variable voltages because the interface is fixed-output. Users must verify their machine specifies 19 V 3.42 A and the 3.0 x 1.1 mm jack before purchasing.

Capacity headroom for 65 W Acer laptops

At its rated 65 W the unit comfortably powers compatible Chromebook 11, 13, 14 and 15 models plus listed Swift and Spin ultraportables during typical workloads and battery charging. Headroom disappears when a connected device draws more than 65 W or demands a different voltage, at which point the adapter will not function. It is not suitable for larger Acer gaming or workstation notebooks that exceed this power envelope.

Questions about this item

How do I confirm the 3.0 x 1.1 mm connector fits my Acer model?

Check your laptop's charging port against the 3.0 x 1.1 mm barrel size; the adapter is listed for Acer Chromebook 11, 13, 14, 15 R11 CB3 and CB5 series, plus Swift 3, Spin and Aspire 5 models.

Will the 19 V 3.42 A output deliver the full 65 W my Chromebook needs?

Yes, 19 V multiplied by 3.42 A equals 65 W, matching the rated output so the Chromebook can draw its maximum supported power.

Does the 100-240 V 50-60 Hz input cover UK mains without a voltage converter?

The adapter accepts 100-240 V at 50-60 Hz, covering standard UK mains voltage and frequency; only the supplied IEC power cord or a standard UK plug lead is required.
