Square-Tip 65 W Adapter

This 65 W AC adapter delivers 20 V at 3.25 A and also covers the 45 W requirement of 20 V 2.25 A. It accepts a universal 100-240 V input range. The unit carries UL listing, confirming it meets recognised safety standards. A detachable UL-listed power cord is included in the package.

ThinkPad X1 Carbon and X1 Yoga Owners

The square-tip connector fits Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon first through fourth generation and X1 Yoga first generation laptops. It is not compatible with USB-C charging ports, so buyers with newer models must verify the connector type before ordering. Users needing a USB-C power source should look elsewhere.

Build Integration

The adapter plugs directly into the laptop’s proprietary square-tip jack, requiring no dock or extra cables. Its 65 W output supports full-performance operation and battery charging simultaneously. The compact brick frees desk space compared with larger OEM units. The manufacturer backs the product with a 365-day warranty and a 30-day no-questions-asked replacement or refund period.

Questions about this item

Does my ThinkPad X1 Carbon need a square-tip charging port to use this 65 W adapter?

Yes, this adapter only fits the square-tip connector found on 1st- through 4th-generation X1 Carbon and 1st-gen X1 Yoga models; it will not work with USB-C charging ports.

Can I run this adapter on the same 100-240 V mains supply as my older 45 W ThinkPad charger?

Yes, the input range is 100-240 V, so it plugs into the same wall outlets; it simply delivers up to 20 V 3.25 A (65 W) and is also compatible with systems that draw 20 V 2.25 A (45 W).

How can I confirm the adapter is delivering the rated 20 V 3.25 A after I connect it?

The laptop's battery indicator will show charging at the full 65 W rate, and the power brick remains cool during normal operation, confirming the 20 V 3.25 A output is active.
