Questions about this item

What is the maximum sustained power this 65W USB-C charger can deliver before its overheat protection activates?

The adapter is rated for 65W continuous output at 20V/3.25A and includes overheat protection, so the thermal limit is the 65W rating itself.

How much heat and noise does the charger produce when running at full load all day?

The unit has no fan and relies on passive cooling; it will become warm during sustained 65W use but generates no audible noise.

Which Dell models already support USB-C Power Delivery so this charger will work without an extra cable?

Compatible models include XPS 13 9350, 9360, 9370, 9380, Latitude 5420, 7490, 5400, 7420 and Chromebook 3100 that charge via USB-C PD.
