90W AC Adapter for ThinkPad

This 90W AC adapter delivers 20V at 4.5A through a 7.9*5.0mm connector. It replaces the original charger for a wide range of Lenovo ThinkPad models including the T, X, L, E, SL, R, S and B series. The unit accepts 100-240V input for worldwide use. It is a direct replacement for part numbers such as 42t4419 and 92p1157.

Continuous 90W Output with Protection

The adapter sustains a full 90W load without throttling, supplying stable 20V power during extended work sessions. Built-in safeguards protect the laptop against incorrect voltage, short circuit and internal overheating. The 100-240V, 50-60Hz input handles mains fluctuations across regions without interruption.

Plug-In Installation with Fixed Cable

Installation is limited to plugging the barrel connector into the laptop and the IEC cord into the wall. The fixed output cable cannot be detached, so a damaged lead requires full unit replacement. Verify the 7.9*5.0mm tip matches the original before ordering; some ThinkPad variants use a different diameter.

Questions about this item

Does the 90W adapter run hot or make fan noise when charging a ThinkPad all day?

The unit has no fan; it relies on passive cooling and built-in safeguards against internal overheating, so it stays silent during continuous use.

What must I already own to use this 20V 4.5A charger with my ThinkPad?

You need a compatible ThinkPad model that accepts a 7.9*5.0mm barrel connector and a standard IEC C7 or C5 mains lead for the included power cord.

Will this 90W unit work alongside the older 65W brick I keep for travel?

Yes — both deliver 20V through the same 7.9*5.0mm tip, so the laptop draws only the current it needs from whichever adapter is connected.
